Aaron Harrington is a mixed media artist who creates hands-on interactive artwork.
His artwork transforms passive viewers into active performers through the use of visually dramatic, interactive environments.
Aaron was born and raised in Santa Fe NM. He graduated with a BA from Hampshire College in 2004. His thesis show “The Carnival of Lost Symbols” consisted of seven large-scale visually dramatic interactive sculptures. After graduating, Aaron went on to create three new sculptures for the “Wind, Sea Sky Outdoor Juried Exhibition” in Newport RI. He also worked as an artist in residence at “Painted Universe”, a science exhibit design firm based in Ithaca, NY.  Aaron recently moved back to Santa Fe to work on a farm in La Bajada NM and create artwork in the barn. His latest piece “When Narcissus Fell In” is on display at the Gerald Peters Gallery in Santa Fe
